Weekly Market Outlook February 15, 2015

Weekly Market Outlook:
Pfäffikon SZ, Switzerland – Last week, relief boosted the markets further north. The S&P 500 closed 2.02 percent higher at 2096.99. Many market indicators have improved without a doubt. There is a reasonable chance of top formation because the strength and volume of the current movement are losing strength. Furthermore, it is questionable if at the current record levels still buyers can be found. They probably prefer to wait for a better entry point. It certainly appears as if investors are losing sight of the reality and disregard certain risks. This scenario may continue for a reasonable time, but makes us reluctant for a longer time now. The year 2015 will look a lot like 1999.

The next week, it is again about the company’s figures. Wednesday is an important day, as we will get more insight in the industrial production and capacity utilization of the world’s most important economy; that of the U.S.. In addition, the minutes of the Fed will be released, which may give an indication of a rate hike in the U.S.. In Europe, for months, the focus is on Greece and Ukraine; this has not changed yet. Monday, the stock markets in the U.S. are closed due to the birth of George Washington.
