Weekly Market Outlook July 27, 2014

Weekly Market Outlook:
Pfäffikon SZ, Switzerland – This past week, investors ostensibly not progressed much. At the end of the week, Visa, Amazon and LVMH have put a damper on the earnings season. However, the Q2 earnings are well received across a broad front. Next week, some ‘fashionable’ stocks will open their books.

It should be noted that the inability of the market, in general, is strikingly at this time. The China issue seems to be stabilizing, but this is only positive for China itself. In Europe, Germany is starting to feel the consequences of the sanctions against Russia. The DAX is now noting 4 percent below its recent top, which is causing concern among investors.

Meanwhile, U.S. investors have taken no notice of anything. The S&P 500 is still opposing a decline and is expected to continue to do so. The coming week is again full of business figures. In addition, a number of important economic data are published.

Needless to say, the geopolitical tensions will again demand their attention. For long-term investors, there has, without doubt, begun an exciting period where the market very simple may show two faces. It is our task to unravel all of this in the coming months, and also to act upon it.
